Goldenberries on the rise!
Physalis, or Inca Fruit, grows in a little lantern of leafs, a husk. In the processing industry of these Goldenberries, people are taking the husk of by hand. ZTI has been asked to invent a machine that's carefully taking of the husk. And so we did. The 'dehusker' prototype is dehusking good and almost ready to launch.
Physalis are used to make fruit-based sauces, pies, puddings, chutneys, jams, and ice cream, or eaten fresh in salads, on deserts and in fruit salads. It's also a superfruit. High on Vitamin C, Fiber, Phosphorus, and Potassium.
