Mango Peeler-de-Cheeker almost ready

'We are proud that we have been nominated for the second time for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award' said Hans Keijzer, Director of ZTI smart machines. 'In 2014 was the ZTI Destemmer (ed. Destemming machine for grapes, tomatoes, dates, etc.) nominated for the FLIA. In 2017 is our new machine, the Mango Peeler-de-Cheeker competing for the award.'

Better than hand peeled
The Mango Peeler-de-Cheeker is nominated for its innovative peeling method. This is in fact not ‘spiral’, as with many other peeling machines. The Mango Peeler-de-Cheeker peels the mango from top to tail, thus providing a so-called manual cut. In addition, the fruit is carried on the stone, which increases the shelf life of the final product. Finally, the machine processes up to 40 mangoes per minute. Because of the processing of large quantities, the ROI is soon quite attractive.

Great international interest
Keijzer; ‘We are thrilled that we have been nominated. The machine is in great international interest and we are pleased that the first orders have been placed. Nomination for the FLIA naturally creates more awareness of our company and our machinery. We are looking forward to the responses on the Fruit Logistica and beyond. Hopefully the voting public is as excited about the machine as we are.’
