Watermelon Peeler in progress
Watermelons are mostly peeled by hand. Big guys and girls with huge knives slicing the peel from the flesh. A job for daredevils. When peeled you end up with a big, slippery and fragile ball. Difficult to handle and easily bruised That is why we developed a watermelon peeling machine.
This week the first melons were tested on the prototype and the peeling results are looking good! We expect to reach a capacity of 3 pieces a minute on one unit. The smart machine is, like all our machines, a tender one. The fruit is handled with the utmost care to increase shelf life. Film footage is not available yet but will be coming soon.
