Citrus peel; from waste to valuable product
The Citrus-Kiwi Peeler has a new option. The machine can now also be equipped with a 'gouge'. This gouge peels a citrus fruit and makes a long rectangular string from the peel. A popular product in the cake and pastry industry and marmalade. The thickness and width of the string can be adjusted via the LCD screen. After removing the outer layer of the peel, the fruit can be put back into the machine. The white skin is then further removed from the fruit and it gets ‘top-tailed’ and de-cored. Ready for further processing in, for example, a fruit salad.
